Hi, I'm working on a personal translation for Yu-Gi-Oh! Tag Force 3, mainly just for the voiced duels.I have made significant progress in that I have translated all the cards, the complete story and all duelist talk, implemented the english deck edit (with proper A-Z sorting and english search), all locations, recipe viewer, status menu, and part of the tutorial. However I have been having some problems and since the file structure for all the tag force games are the same, I have a few questions I hope you can answer.-Q. Where is the main menu data stored?

I'm thinking it's either Eboot.bin or Boot.bin (mainly because thats where systems messages are stored) but I honestly don't know where it is.-Q. Where are the voiced duel subtitles stored? I found some of the text in the duelzakov files, but changing them has no effect in game.-Q.

Lastly, my biggest problem is that the creators put in english text (actually all languages) into certain files, mainly 'Boot.bin' 'shop/allj.ehp' and some of the tutorial files, and I can't find the program call that selects the correct language. If that wasnt that clear, I mean for example in the untouched japanese game, say 'Boot.bin' already has all the duelist names, etc already translated, so replacing with the english version does nothing, soI have been looking for the exact program call that selects the language. Omarrrio, I don't know if you saw my question, but as I said I'm working on a Tag Force 3 Translation, andsince the file layout of the ISO is the same, I have a question about translation. I already figured out whatI asked in the last questions but so I don't need help with that (and how I did it is below in case it helps), butI do still have a question about Eboot.bin/Boot.bin.-A.

I found out where the main menu data was stored and have successfully translated it to english.I did this by editing gmodule/reltitle.prx and titlemenu titlemenuj.ehp.-A. The voiced duel subtitles stored are in the duel/zakov files like I thought but editing them is not neededas they already include translations for other languages.

Gmodule/reldueldraw.prx contains the programcall to which subtitle set is loaded so after a little tinkering, now I have full Japanese voiced duels with english subs.-A. Lastly, I have found that Boot.bin contains Duelist Names, Recipe Names, and System Messages, however I haven'thad any luck translating them. Do you use any special tools to unpack the Eboot.bin? (Tag Force 6 saves that info inthe Eboot.bin instead of Boot.bin in Tag Force 3). Click to expand.Yes, Tag Force up the fifth were localized for the American and European markets, however a major feature was cut from every international release. All of the Japanese releases had full voice acting for duels and other parts of the game, however they cut this probably because they didn't want to pay the dub actors (no surprise after the debacle with 4 Kids) or that the Japanese voices would turn away foreign players.Sadly, it's not possible to just copy over the Japanese sound files because they removed most of the program calls to the voice files and thus crashes. However, I've found that by inserting the dialogue and translating the Japanese version results in no crashes, so that's why I re-translating it.To answer you other question, since the prx files aren't encrypted, you can load them in a simple hex editor and edit them from there. Ehp files are a little different, they are unencrypted packed GIM files, so you would need something like TextER and Gimconv.

Yu Gi Oh Tag Force Series

Edit: there was a font width issue with Clickclaxer01's english patch, which is now fixed. Yeah can't say that I'm a fan of that myself but with games like this you sometimes gotta take what you can get.

Yu gi oh tag force 6 patch fr 2017

The games have a small playerbase to begin with and on top of that usually feature a very large amount of text that takes ages to translate. So you end up with only 1 guy that is willing to do a translation; and since he is doing it for free he gets to do whatever he wants with it.For what it's worth, the translation seems to be more professional and serious this time around. Granted, I've only seen Yusei's first event, but it looked really solid. Can't vouch for the rest of the game yet though.I should also note that I've seen a retranslation of Tag Force Special once that aimed to fix the issues you adressed, but it wasn't made public as far as I'm aware. If there were a serious demand for it, I'd make such a patch myself. But as of now, it just seems like a waste of time. I believe the menus and cards were already translated in the old patch, this one adds a story translation on top of that. There are two patch files included, you only need one depending on the type of ISO you have. But since you have very limited data, I should first ask: do you already have an old english patched ISO file on your pc? You need one to apply this patch.

If not then there really isn't a point, you are probably not going to download an ISO if 60mb is already too much for you.
